Answer:

elimination

Step-by-step explanation:

multiply 2nd eqn by 2 and take eqn 1 - eqn 2 and you'll get rid of x term, leaving only the y term and a constant, where you can then easily solve for y and sub to get x

Topic: simultaneous eqn

fgiga [73]

Answer:

5.66 years

Step-by-step explanation:

450 x 1.025^(n) = 450 + 67.50

450 x 1.025^(n) = 517.50

1.025^(n) =(517.50 / 450)

1.025^(n) = 1.15

n = ln(1.15) / ln(1.025)

n = 5.66

wolverine [178]

Answer:

\$1,616.60

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The compound interest formula is equal to

A=P(1+\frac{r}{n})^{nt}

where

A is the Final Investment Value

P is the Principal amount of money to be invested

r is the rate of interest  in decimal

t is Number of Time Periods

n is the number of times interest is compounded per year

in this problem we have

t=5\ years\\ P=\$1,500\\ r=1.5\%=1.5/100=0.015\\n=4

substitute in the formula above

A=1,500(1+\frac{0.015}{4})^{4*5}

A=1,500(1.00375)^{20}

A=\$1,616.60

How do you write 0.4 in simplest form
Sergeeva-Olga [200]
Well first you have to get 0.4 and turn that decimal into a fraction which will be 2/5 and that fraction is already at its simplest form and cant be reduced so your answer is both 0.4 and 2/5.

PLEASE HELP ASAP PLEASE!!!!
malfutka [58]

Answer:

(3,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

2x-4=y

2y+3x=13

We substitute the y in. They already gave us the equation 2x-4=y simplified so you would just plug this into the other equation

2(2x-4) +3x=13 : *distribute*

4x-8+3x=13 :  *combine like terms*

7x-8=13  * add the 8 to the other side*

7x=21 *divide*

x=3

So  the y=2x-4 is what we added in the place of the y to subtract it and solve for x. The second step would be solving for y. So now that we have our answer, 3  we plug it into the other equation preferably.

2(3)-4 =y : 6-4=y : 2=y

We can check our answer by pugging both x and y into both equations to make sure they are right. The statement should be true.

2x-4=y         2(3)-4=(2)    2=2

2y+3x=13    2(2)+3(3)=13    13=13
