Add simplify the answer and write it as a mixed number 7 3/7 + 3 3/5

Mathematics
1 answer:
ki77a [65]2 years ago
5 0

You should first make 7 3/7 and 3 3/5 into improper fractions that would be 52/7 and 18/5 then we can add but we have to make them equivelent in order to do so.

52/7 = 260/35

18/5 = 126/35

Add 260 and 126 and we will get 386/35 but remember we still have to make it a mixed number so we finally get the answer of 11 1/35

In the figure to the right, can you conclude that triangle GHI is congruent to triangle KJI? Justify your reasoning.
inessss [21]

Answer:

No

Step-by-step explanation:

You cannot conclude that ΔGHI is congruent to ΔKJI, because although you can see/interpret that there all the angles are congruent with one another, like with vertical angles (∠GIH and ∠KIJ) and alternate interior angles (∠H and ∠J, ∠G and ∠K), we don't know the side lengths.

All the angles could be congruent, but the sides might be different. For example, ΔGHI might be a bigger triangle than ΔKJI, which could make them similar to one another, but not congruent.

For something to be congruent to another, everything must be exactly the same.

he diameter of an ice skating rink is 44 feet. In terms of π, what is the area of the rink to the nearest square yard? (9 ft2 =
crimeas [40]

Answer:

The area of the circular ring is 53.73 π  sq. yards

Step-by-step explanation:

The diameter of the skating ring = 44 ft

Diameter =  2 x Radius

⇒Radius of the ring  = 44 / 2  = 22 ft

Now, 1 ft = 0.333333 yards

⇒22 ft  = 22 x 0.333333 yards = 7.3333 yards

Now, Area of the circular Ring = \pi r^2\\

or, A = \pi (7.33)^2

=  53.73 π  sq. yards

or, the area of the circular ring is 53.73 π  sq. yards
