I will let you decide what counts as a second step,<em> </em>I'm going to write out all the steps.

starting from original equation

49n+986=-43

49n=-1029

n=-21

Answer:

The second step is subtracting 986 from both sides

Step-by-step explanation:

The reason is because you want to isolate the variable. You can't solve it if there are numbers along with the variable in an equation.

Which set of data has the same mode and median?
AlekseyPX
Median is the middle number and you have to put each set in order like you've done, tick each number off and each side working in:
3,4,-6-,7,8 =6
3,3,-4-,5,5 =4
6,7,-7-,8,9 =7
2,2,-3-,4,6 =3
Mode is the number that shows up the most
3,4,6,7,8= no mode
3,3,4,5,5= 3 and 5
6,7,7,8,9=7
2,2,3,4,6=2

6,7,7,8,9 both have 7 for mode and median

If 3/2 divided by 1/4 =n , then n is between
kari74 [83]
OK, this written in numbers is

\frac{3/2}{1/4} =n

But, fractions can not divide.  So we need to multiply one by the reciprocal of the other.  The reciprocal of a fraction is itself flipped upside down.  For example, the reciprocal of 1/2 would be 2/1.

So, we will multiply 3/2 by 4/1.  We know how to do this, it is simply 3/2*4=12/2=6.

So, the answer is n = 6.  That would be answer c, because 6 is between 5 and 7.

What is the value of x to the nearest tenth? The diagram is not drawn to scale. Picture attached. Thank you.
sveta [45]

Answer: 14.4

===================================

Work Shown:

Use the angle bisector theorem to divide each side adjacent to the congruent angles (x and 13.5) over their corresponding sides that are adjacent to those previously mentioned sides.

So in short we have x/6.6 as one ratio, and 13.5/6.2 as another

Equate the two fractions, cross multiply, solve for x.

x/6.6 = 13.5/6.2

x*6.2 = 6.6*13.5 ... cross multiply

6.2x = 89.1

6.2x/6.2 = 89.1/6.2  .... divide both sides by 6.2

x = 14.371 which is approximate

x = 14.4
