Answer:

Work done W = -382,206 J (Approx)

Explanation:

We know that;

1 atm = 101.32 kPa

1 L-atm = 101.325 J

1 m³ = 1,000 L

Computation:

Work done W = -P∆V

Pressure = 196 kPa × (1 / 101.32 kPa)

Pressure = 1.9344 atm

∆V = 1.95 × (1000 L) = 1,950 L

So,

W = -(1.9344 atm) × (1,950 L)

W = -3772.0 L-atm

Work done W = -3772.0 L-atm × (101.325 J / 1 L.atm)

Work done W = -382,206 J (Approx)

A solution is made by mixing equal masses of methanol, CH 4 O , CH4O, and ethanol, C 2 H 6 O . C2H6O. Determine the mole fractio
wariber [46]

Answer: The mole fraction of methanol

Xmeth= 0.59

The mole fraction of ethanol

Xeth = 0.41

Explanation:

Mole fraction of a component can be determined by:

Xi = moles of i / total moles of the components the components

Where i indicates the component

An equal mass of 100.0g is assumed for both methanol and ethanol

Molar mass of Methanol (CH4O)

= (1*12) + (4*1) +(1*16) =32g/mol

Mole of Methanol = mass of methanol /molar mass of methanol

=100/32 = 3.13mol.

Molar mass of ethanol ( C2H6O)

= (2*12)+(6*1)+(1*16) = 46.0g/mol

Mole of ethanol = 100/46

= 2.17mol.

Mole fraction of methanol (Xmeth)

= moles of methanol / total moles

Xmeth = 3.13/(3.13+2.17)

Xmeth = 0.59

Mole fraction of ethanol (Xeth)

= moles of ethanol /total moles

= 2.17/((3.13+2.17)

Xeth= 0.41

Write a brief passage describing a neutral atom of nitrogen-14 (N-14). Describe the number of protons, neutrons, and electrons i
Inessa [10]
In nitrogen-14, there are 7 protons, 7 neutrons, and 7 electrons. The protons and neutrons are in the nucleus, and the electrons are in the electron shells. The atomic number is the number of protons, the mass number is the number of protons AND neutrons, and the atomic mass is the average of the masses of all isotopes.
