Im not an expert but i think i can help, first, make your fractions have the same denominator. you do this by multiplying, and remember what you do to your denominator you must do to your numerator. starting with 3/4×13=39/52 now, 4/13×4=16/52

now, you can solve 39/52-16/52, leaving you with 23/52, now normally you would simplify, but you cant simplify this one so your final answer is 23/52. hope this helps, best of luck on your work :)

Hello there,

In order to substract fractions, you need to put all the fractions to the same denominator.

\frac{3}{4} -\frac{4}{13}

=\frac{3*13}{4*13} -\frac{4*4}{13*4}

=\frac{39}{52} -\frac{16}{52}

=\frac{23}{52}

So bob's your uncle, the answer would be :

=\frac{23}{52}

Hope this helps !

What is 9/1 times 7/10
Grace [21]

To multiply two fractions:

-- Multiply their numerators; the product is the numerator of the new fraction.

9 x 7 = 63 ; the new fraction is (63) / (something)

-- Multiply their denominators; the product is the denominator of the new fraction.

1 x 10 = 10 ;  the new fraction is  <em>63/10</em> .

The product of the two original fractions is  63/10 , or  <em>6.3</em>  .

What is the area of triangle HGF? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a square centimeter. Recall that you need to round u
denpristay [2]

Answer:

9.8

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for the area of a triangle is a=bh/2, where a is area, b, is the base, and h is the height. If we substitute the values in the question in the equation, we get:

a=(6.5*3)/2

a=19.5/2

a=9.75

a≈9.8

How do I solve this?
Hunter-Best [27]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  • x = 10
  • y = 19

Step-by-step explanation:

Consecutive interior angles between parallel lines are supplementary.

Let's start with x.

  (8x +40)° +(6x)° = 180°

  14x +40 = 180 . . . . . . . . . divide by °, collect terms

  14x = 140 . . . . . . . . . subtract 40

  x = 10 . . . . . . . . divide by 14

__

We can use the same approach for y:

  (7y)° +(3y -10)° = 180°

  10y = 190 . . . . . . . . . . . divide by °, add 10, collect terms

  y = 19 . . . . . . . . . . . divide by 10
