Usually men and young boys worked in the factories. The 1861 sensus shows that by far and away, most women worked in domestic service (servants). Women were not banned, but they were under employed and poorly paid. So I'd answer false, but it is sure vague.

This is likely true. Married women had domestic duties (raising children). It was not the practice for 2 adults working to support the household.

Women had a terrible time breaking into the professions especially those that involved a university education.  False
