It is possible to rent 8 ping pong tables.

This is because if you are renting a bowling lane for 2 hours you would do 12+12 and that’s 24. You would then do 24/3 cause that’s the amount of the cost for 1 hour of the ping pong to rent and that would give you and answer of 8.
Hope that’s helps:)

A company manufactures and sells x television sets per month. The monthly cost and price-demand equations are C(x)=72,000+60x
myrzilka [38]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Cost Price c(x)=72000+60x

Price p(x)=300-\frac{x}{20}

Revenue generated R(x)=P(x)\times x

where x=no of units

R(x)=300x-\frac{x^2}{20}

To get maxima and minima differentiate R(x)

\frac{\mathrm{d} R(x)}{\mathrm{d} x}=0

\frac{\mathrm{d} R(x)}{\mathrm{d} x}=300-2\times \frac{x}{20}=0

300=2\times \frac{x}{20}

x=3000

maximum Revenue R(x)=(300-\frac{300}{20})\times 300=4,50,000

(b)Profit=Revenue - cost

Profit=xp(x)-c(x)

Profit=300x-\frac{x^2}{20}-72000-60x

Profit(z)=240x-\frac{x^2}{20}-72000

differentiate Profit to get maximum value

\frac{\mathrm{d} z}{\mathrm{d} x}=240-2\times \frac{x}{20}

x=2400

maximum Profit z=2,16,000

(c)Now company decided to tax the company $ 55 for each set

Profit (z_1)=xp(x)-c(x)-55x

z_1=300x-\frac{x^2}{20}-72000x-60x^2-55x

z_1=185x-\frac{x^2}{20}-72,000

differentiate Profit to get maximum value

\frac{\mathrm{d} z_1}{\mathrm{d} x}=0

\frac{\mathrm{d} z_1}{\mathrm{d} x}=185-\frac{2x}{20}=0

x=1850

P(z_1\ at\ x=1850)=99125

company should charge 207.5 $ for each set

2 planes leave the airport at the same time. their speeds are 140 mph and 170 mph and the angle between their courses is 25 degr
Damm [24]

Answer:

183.27miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that we are considering two planes.

Plane 1

Speed = 140 mph

Time = 2.5 hours

Distance = ?

Speed = distance/time

140 mph = distance/2.5hrs

Distance = 140×2.5

= 350miles

Plane 2

Speed = 170 mph

Time = 2.5 hours

Distance = ?

Speed = distance/time

170 mph = distance/2.5hrs

Distance = 170×2.5

= 425miles

The angle between side is 25 degree

From cosine rule

c^2 = a^2 + b^2 − 2abcos(tetha)

Where a = 350

b = 425miles

c^2 = 350^2+425^2-2(350×425)(cos25)

c^2 = 122500+180625-297500(0.906)

c^2 = 303125-269535

c^2 = 33590

C = √33590

C = 183.27miles

The distance they flew apart after 2.5hrs is 183.27miles

Raju bought 12 pencils at $0.35 each and 10 pens at $1.75 each . How much did raju spend in total?
MrRa [10]
21.7 Because $0.35 x 12 is 4.2 and 1.75 x 10 is 17.5 and add that up and it’s 21.7!
