A desk was moved 12 m using 280 j of work. how much force was used to move the desk?
Oksana_A [137]
Let F =  required force, N

Given:
d = 12 m, distance
W = 280 J, work done

By definition,
W = F*d,
therefore
(F N)*(12 m) = (280 J)
F = 280/12 = 23.33 N

Answer: The force is 23.3 N (nearest tenth)

An asteroid orbits the Sun every 176 years. What is the asteroids average distance from the Sun? P ^ 2 = a ^ 3 where p = period
KatRina [158]

Answer:

The value is  x =  45.99 \  Au

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The period of the  asteroid is   T =  176 \ years = 176 * 365 * 24 * 60* 60 = 5.55*10^{9}\ s

Generally the average distance of the asteroid from the sun is mathematically represented as

            R = \sqrt[3]{ \frac{G M * T^2 }{4 \pi} }

Here M is the mass of the sun with a value

        M  =  1.99*10^{30} \  kg

         G  is the gravitational constant with value  G  =  6.67 *10^{-11}  \  m^3 \cdot kg^{-1} \cdot  s^{-2}

           R = \sqrt[3]{ \frac{6.67 *10^{-11}  * 1.99*10^{30} * [5.55 *10^{9}]^2 }{4 * 3.142 } }

=>       R = 6.88 *10^{12} \  m

Generally

         1.496* 10^{11}  \  m  \to  1 Au (Astronomical \  unit )

So

          R = 6.88 *10^{12} \  m \ \ \ \ \to \ \   x \  Au

=>      x =  \frac{6.88 *10^{12}}{1.496 *10^{11}}

=>       x =  45.99 \  Au

La luz roja visible tiene una longitud de onda de 680 nanómetros (6,8 x 10-7 m). La velocidad de la luz es de 3.0 x108 m / s. ¿C
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

Frequency, f=4.41\times 10^{14}\ Hz

Explanation:

Visible red light has a wavelength of 680 nanometers (6.8 x 10⁻⁷ m). The speed of light is 3.0 x 10 ⁸ m / s. What is the frequency of visible red light?

It is given that,

Wavelength of a visible red light is, \lambda=6.8\times 10^{-7}\ m

Speed of light is, c=3\times 10^8\ m/s

We need to find the frequency of visible red light. It can be calculated using below relation.

c=f\lambda\\\\f=\dfrac{c}{\lambda}\\\\f=\dfrac{3\times 10^8}{6.8\times 10^{-7}}\\\\f=4.41\times 10^{14}\ Hz

So, the frequency of visible red light is 4.41\times 10^{14}\ Hz.
