Answer:

The measure of the largest interior angle is 87.5^{o}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given one of the interior angles of the triangle =  40°. Let the other interior angles be represented by b and c.

Sum of angles in a triangle is 180^{o}.

So that;

b + c +  40° = 180^{o}

b + c = 180^{o} - 40°

b + c = 140^{o}

But, b and c are in the ratio 3:5

Thus,

b = \frac{3}{8} x 140^{o}

  = 52.5^{o}

b = 52.5^{o}

c = \frac{5}{8} x 140^{o}

  = 87.5^{o}

c = 87.5^{o}

Check:

52.5^{o} + 87.5^{o} = 140^{o}

The measure of the largest interior angle is 87.5^{o}.

The answer is 75

First you subtract 180 and 165 to find that smallest angle inside the triangle(15). Then you add 15 and 90,the two angles you know, and do 180 - 105= 75.

The trick is that all angles inside a triangle equal 180 degrees. Hope this helps!

The width of a rectangle is 6 kilometers less than twice its length. if the area of the rectangle is 176 square kilometers, find
trasher [3.6K]
Let w and 2w-6 be the width and length, respectively. Then:
w(2w-6)=176
2w²-6w-176=0
(2w+16)(w-11 )=0
w=-16/2 or 11
If the width is 11 km, then the length is 16 km

A rectangle has a perimeter of 34 cm in an area of 52 cm squared it's length is 5 more than twice its width write and solve the
valina [46]

Let l be the length and w be the width of the rectangle.

Given perimeter of the rectangle

2(l+w)=34 \; l+w=17

Area of the rectangle is

lw=52

Also length is 5 more than twice its width,

l=2w+5

From the above equations

(l-w)^2=(l+w)^2-4lw=17^2-4*52=81\\ l-w=9,\; since \; l>w

Now 2l=9+17=26\;,l=13,w=4

The dimensions of the rectangle are length l=13, and width w=4.
