Let x be the lowest temperature in may 15

And y the warmest temperature in may 15

Since the lowest temperature is 2/3 the warmest temperature during that day, in equation form

X = (2/3)y

Since the lowest temperature is 60 F

60 = (2/3) y

Y = 90 F

10 POINTS!! Made myself broke with my last two questions!
Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

The radius r is the distance from the centre to a point on the circle.

Calculate r using the distance formula

r = √ (x₂ - x₁ )² + (y₂ - y₁ )²

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (0, 0) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (- 5, - 12)

r = \sqrt{(-5-0)^2+(-12-0)^2}

  = \sqrt{(-5)^2+(-12)^2}

  = \sqrt{25+144}

  = \sqrt{169}

  = 13 → D

Please help me because I don't understand how to do it.:)
Tanya [424]

Answer:

y = 1/4x+1

Step-by-step explanation:

We have 2 points so we can find the slope

m = (y2-y1)/ (x2-x1)

    = (1-2)/(0-4)

    = -1/-4

    = 1/4

The point (0,1) is the y intercept

We find the y intercept when x=0

We want to find the equation in slope intercept form

y= mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

y = 1/4x+1

two unidentified flying discs are detected by a receiver, the angle of elevation from the receiver to each disc is 38.48 degrees
vivado [14]

Answer:

292.45 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Both disk are at an angle of 38.48°

From the image below we calculate as,

For disk B, direct distance is 1.296 km from receiver = 1296 m

Vertical height from ground will be = 1296 x sin38.48 = 806.42 m

For disk A, direct distance is 826 m from receiver

Verival height above ground = 826 x sin38.48 = 513.97 m

Difference in height between disks is 806.42 - 513.97 = 292.45 m
