Ashley needs to memorize words on a vocabulary list for Latin class. She has memorized 48 of the words, which is two-thirds of t
oksian1 [2.3K]

Answer:

There are 72 words on the list.

Step-by-step explanation:

If 48 is 2/3 of the total number then we can divide 48 by 2 to get 1/3 of the total which is 24.

All you need to now is multiply 24 by 3 to get 3/3 or the total number which would be 72.

Hope this helps!

PSYCHO15rus [73]

Answer:

-\left(\dfrac{1}{2}y+\dfrac{1}{4}\right)=-\dfrac{1}{2}y-\dfrac{1}{4}=-\dfrac{1\cdot2}{2\cdot2}y-\dfrac{1}{4}=\dfrac{-2y}{4}-\dfrac{1}{4}=\dfrac{-2y-1}{4}\\\\=-\dfrac{2y+1}{4}

If you were to solve following system by substitution what would be the best variable to solve for and from what equation? 2x+6y
Deffense [45]
This is an odd question because it's a little subjective, but, for me, I would choose x from the second equation because you could simply add 12y to both sides, then divide by 3. It has the added benefit of not having any decimals/fractions, or negative values, which would be nice for substitution.
