Leah's mistake was that she did not change the numerators

the correct value is 19/12

the Step-by-step explanation:

(2/3) + (1/2) + (5/12)

= (2*2/3*2) + (1*3/2*3) + (5/12)

= (4/6) + (3/6) + (5/12)

= (7/6) + (5/12)

= (7*2/6*2) + (5/12)

= (14/12) + (5/12)

When adding fractions all denominators must be the same. You multiple 2/3 by 4 so it becomes 8/12 and the same with the others. The answer is 19/12

What is the perimeter of ABC with vertices at A (-11,4) B(-7,8) and C (-4,4)
Alborosie

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the distance formula,

AB=\sqrt{(-11-(-7))^{2}+(4-8)^{2}}=\sqrt{16+16}=4\sqrt{2}\\AC=\sqrt{(-11-(-4))^{2}+(4-4)^{2}}=7\\BC=\sqrt{(-7-(-5))^{2}+(8-4)^{2}}=\sqrt{4+16}=2\sqrt{5}\\\\

So the perimeter is 4\sqrt{2}+7+2\sqrt{5}
