Orlov [11]

Answer:

First question: 42cm^2

Second question:

whole figure: 150 cm^2

blue part: 96cm^2

white part:54cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets do math:

look you gave me alot to do but lets go:

Question 1:

lets find the area of the whole rectangle without the parts taken away.

6*10-60

lets put that away for a little bit and move onto the empty space that we have to take away from the rectangle to get this shape.

im now going to subtract 2 from 10 to get 8. I did this to find out the a length

8*3=24

18 is the area of the shape that we have to subtract from the big rectangle

lets now take out the area we put away for a little while.

60-18=42

so 42 is the area of the first shape.

Question #2:

This problem needs multiple answers so lets get started.

first we need to find the area of the big rectangle.

10*15=150

lets put that away for a little bit.

now lets find the area of the little rectangle

6*9=54

to find the blue we have to subtract 54 from 150 which is 96

so now we have this:

area of the whole figure:150

area of the shaded rectangle inside (white): 54

area of the shaded rectangle (blue): 96

phew that was a lot of typing

the end

Someone please help me with this! Is this a independent or dependent? Explain why.
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

 independent

Step-by-step explanation:

Dependent equations graph as the same line. These lines are not the same, so the equations are independent.

___

However, the lines are parallel, so the equations are also inconsistent. There is no solution to this system of equations.
