Step-by-step explanation:

If we draw lines from the centre of the circle to each vertex of the hexagon we get 6  equilateral triangles  of side length 2.

Altitude of each triangle  = sqrt(2^2 - 1^2)

= sqrt3.

So the area of 1 triangle = 1/2 * 2 * sqrt3

= sqrt3

Therefore the area of the hexagon = 6 * sqrt3

= 6sqrt3

= 10.3923
