Answer:

One line crosses between -2 and -3

The second line extends past -5 to -3

I wasn't able to give a visual, but you can go to desmos, which is a graphing website and enter the equations there. It'll instantly give you the lines. Good luck

(PLEASE ANSWER: TIMED)The intensity, or loudness, of a sound can be measured in decibels (dB), according to the equation I(dB)=1
Mrac [35]
For this case we have the following equation:
 l(dB) = 10log( \frac{l}{lo} )
 We must replace the following value in the equation:
 l = 10^8lo
 Substituting we have:
 l(dB) = 10log( \frac{10^8lo}{lo} )
 Simplifying the given expression we have:
 l(dB) = 10log(10^8)
 Then, using logarithm properties in base 10, we can rewrite the expression:
 l(dB) = 10(8)
 Finally, making the product, the result is:
 l(dB) = 80
 Answer:

l(dB) = 80

Ndicate the equation of the line through (2, -4) and having slope of 3/5.
lord [1]

\bf (\stackrel{x_1}{2}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{-4})~\hspace{10em} slope = m\implies \cfrac{3}{5} \\\\\\ \begin{array}{|c|ll} \cline{1-1} \textit{point-slope form}\\ \cline{1-1} \\ y-y_1=m(x-x_1) \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}\implies y-(-4)=\cfrac{3}{5}(x-2) \implies y+4=\cfrac{3}{5}x-\cfrac{6}{5} \\\\\\ y=\cfrac{3}{5}x-\cfrac{6}{5}-4\implies \implies y=\cfrac{3}{5}x-\cfrac{26}{5}

Is the difference between a positive mixed number and a negative mixed number always, sometimes, or never positive?
Annette [7]
Ok It depends upon what the order of the terms might be

If we consider that the positive mixed number is the first term and the negative mixed number is the second term and we consider "difference" to be subtraction.....then the result is positive

For example

(3 + 1/2) -  [ -(1 + 1/2)] =

(3 +1/2) + (1 + 1/2) = 5   since subtracting a negative results in a positve

But....if we had the reverse order with the same operation, we would have

-(1 + 1/2) - (3 + 1/2)   and the result is - 5

Hence.......I would go with "sometimes"
