Answer:

$24 and $16

Step-by-step explanation:

well let’s go through this step by step.

we have $40 which is the regular price, but not only do you want to find what 60% of 40 is, but you want to find out how big the difference is between the 2, in dollars. But i believe we can do that.

So let’s just think. Do you know how to get a percent of something? If so, ignore this next part.  If not, all you want to do is take 40 x 0.60. or whatever number you need. if it’s out of 100, that’s what you would do.

So now that we know how to get a percent of something, let’s find 60% of 40.

40 x 0.60 gives us 24, or in this case it’d be $24.

Great! we found the discount! now all we need to do is find out the difference.

All we need to do from here is take 40 - 24. what is 40 - 24?

16!

Now you’re done! the discount brings it down to $24 and the difference between the starting price and the discount price is 16 dollars.

i hope this was able to help you!

Tennessee Whisky contains 40% alcohol; how many ml of whiskey can be produced with 80ml of alcohol?
anygoal [31]

well we know that we have 80mL and we also know that those 80mL will represent the "solute" or the 40% of the Tennessee whiskey total which we can say is 100%, so if 80 is the 40%, how much will it be for the 100% in mL?

\begin{array}{ccll}mL&\%\\\cline{1-2}80&40\\x&100\end{array}\implies \cfrac{80}{x}=\cfrac{40}{100}\implies \cfrac{80}{x}=\cfrac{2}{5}\implies 400=2x\\\\\\ \cfrac{400}{2}=x\implies \underset{mL}{200}=x

Alja [10]

Answer:

a = 13,

b = 28,

c = 6,

d = 22,

e = 31

Step-by-step explanation:

E = 15 +16 = 31

6 males like cats ( the middle section) so C = 6

d = 6 +16 = 22

a = 19-6 = 13

b = 50-22 = 28

so in order: a = 13, b = 28, c = 6, d = 22, e = 31

Is anybody able to help me get number ten? (Geometry)
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

Aha..our nemesis problem. :)

The area is 129.90 ft ^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, use a 30-60-90 triagle to find the apothem.

5\sqrt{3} =8.66\\8.66*5=43.30\\43.30/2=21.65\\

That is the area of 1 triangle. There are 6 of them in a hexagon, so multiply that number by 6:

21.65*6=129.90 ft ^2

Have a great day!
