Option B is not correct as this wasn't also something that Congress was able to do.

For polychronic time oriented cultures A. plans are flexible B. time is less of a guiding force C. plans are not flexible D. tim
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

E. both A and B

Explanation:

This question is incomplete. The options for this question are:

A. plans are flexible

B. time is less of a guiding force

C. plans are not flexible

D. time is a guiding force

E. both A and B

In sociology, there are two types of time oriented cultures:

  1. A monochronic culture is a culture that likes to do one thing at a time. These cultures think there's an appropriate time and place for things and therefore they value order and tidiness and take things very seriously.
  2. A polychronic culture likes to to do several things at the same time and they are willing to change their plans quite easily, therefore, they don't quite see time as a guiding force.

Therefore, we can see that the corrects answers are: Polychronic time oriented cultures <u>see plans as flexible and also for them time is less of a guiding force. </u>Therefore, the correct answer is E. since both options A and B are correct.

Emily naturally blinks whenever her sister pretends she’s going to poke her in the eye. Her sister, a psychology major, then dec
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

The "snapping" of her fingers will have no effect or response in the scenario.

Explanation:

The situation above is related to the concept of "blocking" when it comes to Psychology. According to the<em> "blocking effect,"</em> conditioning to a particular stimulus will only be blocked<u> if that stimulus was reinforced in alignment with a conditioned stimulus before.</u>

So, in the situation above, the snapping of fingers refers to another unconditioned stimulus. Its conditioning was blocked because it was reinforced in compound with the previously conditioned stimulus. This time, the previously unconditioned stimulus<em> </em><em>(poking of Emily's eye</em>) becomes a conditioned stimulus. This is, primarily, because Emily has already gotten the association of the stimuli involved, so she no longer responded in the same manner or it had no more effect on her when her sister mentioned the word "Psychology."

Why were the Anansi stories popular among slaves in Jamaica?
makvit [3.9K]

The Anansi stories were important to the enslaved people in Jamaica for primarily three reasons:

1. These stories originated from West Africa and were brought over to the Americas with the captured slaves and was a means for them to have some level of connection to their homeland.

2. Also, as more and more slaves were born in Jamaica, the stories were passed down from mother/father to child. In many instances, families were broken up and slaves were separated from their relatives for the monetary gain of the planters/owners. These stories then became a way to remain close to the family that the slaves had been separated from.

3. The Anansi stories are always comical and as such it was a great way for the slaves to come together and enjoy themselves away from the very hard hard life that they led.
