The Unit Rate is the start of the slope/the y-intercept of the slope.To find that we need to make the slope first.

We can see that the slope is a linear function/a straight line, and if we just follow the line down the slope we can see that it has a y-intercept/unit rate of 2/3 of 1 whole.

Factor the demoniator:-
x^2 -2x - 24 = (x - 6)(x + 4)
the asymptotes occurs when denominator = 0
so here they are the vertical lines x = 6 and x = -4
1/3 is the slope, or 1 over 3.

According to the graphing calculator, the two equations have two points of intersections (the points where the different colored lines cross).
