Answer:

50 Samples

Step-by-step explanation:

Divide the total cups of ice cream (10) by the sample amount (1/5)

\frac{10}{\frac{1}{5} }

10 ÷ 1/5

Use the keep change flip rule.

\frac{10}{1}*\frac{5}{1} = 50

Answer:

 102

Step-by-step explanation:

The total of ratio units is ...

 6 + 3 + 8 = 17

The difference between the Charlie's ratio units and Adrian's ratio units is ...

 8 - 6 = 2

That is, the total number of ratio units is 17/2 = 8.5 times that difference.

The actual difference is 12 sweets, so the total number of sweets is ...

 8.5 × 12 = 102 . . . . total sweets

An equation is shown below. 12 – 6(w – 3) = 3(– 5 – 3w) + 21 Enter the solution of w for this equation.
gogolik [260]
Simplifying
12 + -6(w + -3) = 3(-5 + -3w) + 21

Reorder the terms:
12 + -6(-3 + w) = 3(-5 + -3w) + 21
12 + (-3 * -6 + w * -6) = 3(-5 + -3w) + 21
12 + (18 + -6w) = 3(-5 + -3w) + 21

Combine like terms: 12 + 18 = 30
30 + -6w = 3(-5 + -3w) + 21
30 + -6w = (-5 * 3 + -3w * 3) + 21
30 + -6w = (-15 + -9w) + 21

Reorder the terms:
30 + -6w = -15 + 21 + -9w

Combine like terms: -15 + 21 = 6
30 + -6w = 6 + -9w

Solving
30 + -6w = 6 + -9w

Solving for variable 'w'.

Move all terms containing w to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '9w' to each side of the equation.
30 + -6w + 9w = 6 + -9w + 9w

Combine like terms: -6w + 9w = 3w
30 + 3w = 6 + -9w + 9w

Combine like terms: -9w + 9w = 0
30 + 3w = 6 + 0
30 + 3w = 6

Add '-30' to each side of the equation.
30 + -30 + 3w = 6 + -30

Combine like terms: 30 + -30 = 0
0 + 3w = 6 + -30
3w = 6 + -30

Combine like terms: 6 + -30 = -24
3w = -24

Divide each side by '3'.
w = -8

Simplifying
w = -8

If your car gets 24 miles per gallon, how much does it cost to drive 440 miles when gasoline costs $2.80 per gallon?
mojhsa [17]
This not might be correct (Cause in a middle schooler) but I think is....
440 divides by 24 = 18.3333333
We round it to the neared whole number which is 18.
18 x 2.80 = 50.4
So it is 50.4 altogether...

A tree casts a shadow that is 24 feet in length. If the angle of elevation is 30 degrees, which of the following best represents
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

The answer is D) 13.9

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the angle of elevation is adjacent to the length of 24, than to find the height you have to use tangent. so you take your calculator in DEGREES mode and enter tan(30) which gives you =0.5773502692... than you would multiply by 24 which gives you the height =13.8564.....

Sorry if I wasn't specific enough, ask if you want more help. I am sure this is the right answer
