3. –4 + x > –2 + x

If you minus x from both sides of the equation, it becomes:

-4 > -2

This is not true no matter what x is, thus it has no solution.

4. x – 2 < x + 3

If you add 2 on both sides, it becomes:

x < x + 5

This inequality is possible and has infinitely many solutions.
