Reflected over the x-axis, then translated 6<br> units left
lapo4ka [179]
Take the original coordinate (x,y)
to reflect over x-axis change it to (x,-y)
*basically change the sign of y*
to translate 6 units left (x-6,y)
* basically subtract 6 from x
So your new point should be (x-6,-y)

Jacks mother gave him 50 chocolates to give to his friends for his birthday party. He gave 3 chocolates to each of his friends a
labwork [276]

Answer:

3x+2=50

There are 16 friends at Jack's party.

Step-by-step explanation:

Please consider the complete question.

Jack's mother gave him 50 chocolates to give to his friends at his birthday party. He gave 3 chocolates to each of his friends and still had 2 chocolates left. Write an equation to determine the number of friends (x) at Jack's party. Find the number of friends at Jack's party.

Since there are x friends at party, so chocolate given to x friends would be 3 times x (3x) because Jack gave 3 chocolates to each friend.

As Jack has 2 chocolates left after giving to his friends, so total numbers of chocolates would be 3x+2.

Now we will equate total number of chocolates by 50 as:

3x+2=50

Therefore, the equation 3x+2=50 can be used to find number of Jack's friends.

Let us solve for x.

3x+2-2=50-2

3x=48

\frac{3x}{3}=\frac{48}{3}

x=16

Therefore, there are 16 friends at Jack's party.
