Is the domain {1.8,3.4,9,9.8}
Effectus [21]
You need to find the values of x that correspond to the given values of f(x). That is, you need to solve for x:
.. y = 7x -2.7
.. y +2.7 = 7x
.. x = (y +2.7)/7

You are given y values of {14.1, 30.9, 41.4, 58.9, 68}. The corresponding x values are {2.4, 4.8, 6.3, 8.8, 10.1}, corresponding to selection C.

_____
Since the first number in each choice is different, you only need to evaluate f(x) for those numbers to see which gives the correct result. Only the 3rd one (2.4) give f(2.4) = 14.1, the correct answer.

4tan^2 x-8tanx+3=0 on interval [0,2pi]
Vadim26 [7]
\bf 4tan^2(x)+8tan(x)+3=0\qquad [0,2\pi ]

\textit{since it's just a quadratic, we'll just factor it}
\\\\\\\
[2tan(x)+1][2tan(x)+3]=0\implies
\begin{cases}
2tan(x)+1=0\\
\qquad tan(x)=-\frac{1}{2}\\
\qquad \measuredangle x=tan^{-1}\left( -\frac{1}{2} \right)\\
\qquad \measuredangle  x\approx 333.4^o, 153.4^o\\
2tan(x)+3=0\\
\qquad tan(x)=-\frac{3}{2}\\
\qquad \measuredangle x=tan^{-1}\left(-\frac{3}{2}  \right)\\
\qquad \measuredangle x\approx303.7^o, 123.7^o

Find the surface area of the prism. 6 cm, 9 cm, 3cm
pishuonlain [190]

Answer: 198cm

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the dimensions of a rectangular prism;

3cm 9cm and 6cm

We are required to determine its surface area;

We need to know that;

Surface area of a rectangular prism is given by;

A = 2(WL+HL+WH)

Where L, W and H are length , width and height respectively;

Assuming;

Width is 3 cm

Length is 9 cm, and

Height is 6 cm

Then;

Area = 2 ( (3×9) + (6×9) + (3×6))

       = 2(99)

      = 198 cm²

Therefore, the area of the rectangular prism is 198 cm²
