Cars are either race-car fast, slightly fast, or normal. It turns out that 10% of all cars are race-car fast, 40% are sligh

tly fast, and 5% are normal. Of those that are race-car fast 70% are red, as are 45% of those that are slightly fast, and 30% of those that are normal. what is the probability that a randomly selected car is red given that it is normal?

Answer:

Probability = 37.5%

Step-by-step explanation:

Prob (Race fast) = 10%, Prob (Slight Fast) = 40%, Prob (Normal Car) = 50%

Prob (Red Car) = 70% of race fast cars, & 45% of slight fast cars, & 30% of Normal cars, & = (70% x 10%) + (45% x 40%) + (30% x 50%) = 7% + 18% + 15% = 40%

Prob (Normal & Red Car) = 30% of 50% = 15%

Prob (Red car I Normal car) = Prob (Red & Normal Car I Normal Car) = 15% / 40% = 37.5%

A cone of height 9cm has a volume of ncm³ curved surface area of ncm². Find the vertical angle of the cone
avanturin [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let the radius be r and the slant height be L

then first of all: L^2 = r^2 + 9^2

= r^2 + 81

Surface area = πrL = n

volume = (1/3)πr^2 (9) = 3πr^2 = n

then 3πr^2 = πrL

3r = L , then in L^2 = r^2 + 81

9r^2 = r^2 + 81

8r^2 = 81

r = 9/√8

L^2 = 81/8 + 81 = 729/8

L = √1458/4

cos(baseangle) = (9/√8) / (√1458/4)

= 1/3

angle of base = appr 70.5°

Identify the distance, to the nearest tenth, between J(−3,4) and K(7,−9).
Andru [333]

Answer: C. 16.4

Concept:

Here, we need to know the idea of the distance formula.

The distance formula is the formula, which is used to find the distance between any two points.

Distance = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

If you are still confused, please refer to the attachment below for a clear version of the formula.

Solve:

Given information

(x₁, y₁) = (-3, 4)

(x₂, y₂) = (7, -9)

Given expression

Distance =\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Substitute values into the expression

Distance =\sqrt{(7+3)^2+(-9-4)^2}

Simplify value in the parentheses

Distance =\sqrt{(10)^2+(-13)^2}

Simplify exponents

Distance =\sqrt{100+169}

Simplify by addition

Distance =\sqrt{269}

Convert square root to decimal and round the answer to the nearest tenth

\boxed{Distance=16.4}

Hope this helps!! :)
