Volume of the cone is 1/3 times base times height times pie

The area of the circle(base) is pie times radius to the second power. Which in this case is 78.5
Then multiply by height
Which is 235.6
Then multiply by pie which is 739.47
Then multiply by 1/3 which is 246.49

If y varies inversely as x2 and y = 3 when x = 2, find the equation that connects x and y.
Bond [772]
<h3>Answer:  y = 12/(x^2)</h3>

============================================================

Explanation:

"y varies inversely as x^2" means y = k/(x^2) for some constant k.

Plug in (x,y) = (2,3) and solve for k

y = k/(x^2)

3 = k/(2^2)

3 = k/4

3*4 = k

12 = k

k = 12

The original equation updates to y = 12/(x^2)

As a check, plugging in x = 2 should lead to y = 3

y = 12/(x^2)

y = 12/(2^2)

y = 12/4

y = 3 ... we get the proper y value, so the answer is confirmed.

lara31 [8.8K]

Answer: 82%

Step-by-step explanation:

- - - - - - - - college - - not college - - - - total

Travel - - - - 43 - - - - - - - 10 - - - - - - - - 53

Not travel - 24 - - - - - - - 5 - - - - - - - - - 29

Total - - - - 67 - - - - - - - 15 - - - - - - - - - 82

Marginal relative frequency of students who plan to attend college:

(Number of students who plan to attend the college / Total number of the students)

Number of students who plan to attend college = 67

total number of students = 82

Marginal relative frequency = 67/82

= 0.8170731

= (0.8170731) * 100%

= 81.7% = 82%
