[x-(-10)]²+(y-6)²=4²
the answer is (<span>x + 10)^2 + (y – 6)^2 = 16</span>

The equation of circle is given by :

(x-h)^{2} + (y-k)^{2}  = r^{2}

where,

(h,k) is the center of circle and r is radius of circle.

Now we are given :

Center (h,k) as (-10,6) and radius as 4

Plugging these values in the equation ,

(x-(-10))^{2} + (y-6)^{2}  = 4^{2}

So equation of circle with center at (-10,6) and radius 4 is given by:

(x+10)^{2} + (y-6)^{2}  = 16

What's the surface area ratio &amp; the volume ratio??<br><br> please help me ASAP!!
Ulleksa [173]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Volumes of two spheres A and B = 648 cm³ and 1029 cm³

Things to remember:

1). Scale factor of two objects = \frac{r_1}{r_2} [r_1 and r_2 are the radii of two circles]

2). Area scale factor = \frac{(r_1)^2}{(r_2)^2}

3). Volume scale factor = \frac{(r_1)^3}{(r_2)^3}

Volume scale factor Or Volume ratio = \frac{V_A}{V_B}

                         \frac{(r_1)^3}{(r_2)^3}= \frac{648}{1029}

                         \frac{r_1}{r_2}=\sqrt[3]{\frac{648}{1029} }

                         \frac{r_1}{r_2}=\frac{6(\sqrt[3]{3})}{7(\sqrt[3]{3})}

                        \frac{r_1}{r_2}=\frac{6}{7}

Therefore, scale factor = \frac{r_1}{r_2}=\frac{6}{7}

                                      ≈ 6 : 7

Area scale factor Or area ratio = (\frac{r_1}{r_2})^2=(\frac{6}{7})^2

                                                   = \frac{36}{49}

                                                   ≈ 36 : 49

Volume scale factor or Volume ratio = \frac{648}{1029}

                                                             = \frac{216}{343}

                                                             ≈ 216 : 343

William fills 1/3 of a water bottle in 5/9 of a minute. How many can be filled in a minute
Snezhnost [94]

For this case we can propose a rule of three:

\frac {1} {3}bottle ------------> \frac {5} {9}minutes

x --------------------------------------> 1 minute

Where the variable "x" represents the number of bottles that can be filled in 1 minute.

x = \frac {1 * \frac {1} {3}} {\frac {5} {9}}\\x = \frac {\frac {1} {3}} {\frac {5} {9}}\\x = \frac {9 * 1} {3 * 5}\\x = \frac {9} {15}\\x = \frac {3} {5}

Thus, William can fill \frac {3} {5} of a water bottle in 1 minute.

Answer:

William can fill \frac {3} {5} of a water bottle in 1 minute.
