Answer:

300 television sets total

300 - 90 flat screens = 210

flat screens 90:210 other TVs

now divide each side of the ratio by a common factor to simplify. I'm going to use 30

flat screens 3:7 other TVs

this cannot be simplified any further so the ratio is

flat screens 3:7 other tvs

What can you say about the y-values of the two functions f(x)=3^(x)-3 g(x)=7x^2-3
Mice21 [21]

Answer: g(x) has the smallest possible y-value of -3

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

f(x) = 3ˣ - 3   <em>This is an exponential graph shifted down three units. So, it has an asymptote at y = -3, which means it approaches -3 but does not touch it.</em>

Range: y > 3   (-3, ∞)

   g(x) = 7x² - 3

⇒ g(x) = 7(x - 0)² - 3   <em>This is a parabola with vertex at (0, -3) </em>

Range: y ≥ 3   [-3, ∞)

Find ten rational numbers between -1 by 5 and 1 by 2
uysha [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First both the rational numbers should have same denominators. So, find least common denominator

Least common denominator is 10

\frac{-1}{5}=\frac{-1*2}{5*2}=\frac{-2}{10}\\\\\\\frac{1}{2}=\frac{1*5}{2*5}=\frac{5}{10}\\\\\\

Now multiply  the numerator  and denominators of the both the numbers by 10.

\frac{-2*10}{10*10}= \frac{-20}{100} \ and \ \frac{5*10}{10*10}=\frac{50}{100}\\\\\\Now\ 10 \ rational  \ numbers \ between\frac{-20}{10} \ and \ \frac{50}{100} \ is \\\\\\\frac{-19}{100},\frac{-18}{100},\frac{-17}{100},\frac{-16}{100}.\frac{-15}{100},\frac{-14}{100},\frac{-13}{100},\frac{-12}{100},\frac{-11}{100};\frac{-10}{100}

A baker charges $30 for each batch of cupcakes she makes. She adds $0.09 for each frosting flower. Write an expression to repres
Lisa [10]

Answer:

30+0.09x

Here, x denotes number of frosting flowers

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x denotes number of frosting flowers.

Amount charged by baker for each batch of cupcakes = $30

Amount charged for each frosting flower = $0.09

So,

Amount charged for x frosting flowers = \$0.09x

Therefore,

Total cost of a batch of cupcakes with frosting flowers = 30+0.09x
