Help ASAP DUE IN 26 MINUTES PLEASE I BEG YOU !!! 7 & 8please!
Lynna [10]

This is question #8. First what you do is turn all the denominators to 8, and them you just add, so it's 3.5 in decimal, and 3 4/8 in mixed fraction, and if you simplify that you get 3 1/2 as your fraction, and if you want that as improper fraction you get 28/8. And for #7 there must be a diagram, can you show me that, maybe I can help.

i have a square, and place three dots along the 4 edges at random. what is the probability that the dots lie on distinct edges?
olya-2409 [2.1K]

The correct answer is listed as (3/4) * (1/2) = 3/8. The probability that the dots lie on distinct edges is 3/8.

Probability is simply how likely something is to happen. When we don't know how an event will turn out, we can discuss the likelihood or likelihood of several outcomes. Statistics is the study of events that follow a probability distribution.

The area of mathematics known as probability deals with numerical representations of the likelihood that an event will occur or that a statement is true. An event's probability is a number between 0 and 1, where, roughly speaking, 0 denotes the event's impossibility and 1 denotes certainty.

Solve this equation, show all your work:<br> 6(x+1)=-2(3x+9)
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

x=-2

Step-by-step explanation:

6(x+1)=-2(3x+9)

Distribute the 6.

6x+6=-2(3x+9)

Distribute the -2.

6x+6=-6x-18

Move the variable to the left-hand side and change the sign.

6x+6+6x=-18

Collect like terms

12x=-18-6

Calculate the difference.

12x=-24

Divide both sides by 12.

x=-2

Hope this helps :)

PLEASEPLEASE HELPPPP!!! This is quadratics, and I need help and please show the steps. I’m not sure how to approach this, but I
Len [333]
Start with the bottom equation and rearrange it so that it's a "y =" equation like so:
0 = 2x + 1 - y ->
y = 2x + 1

now since you know "y" you may substitute that equation 2x + 1 into "y" of the first given equation to be:
x^2 = (2x + 1) - 7 + 5x
then simplify
x^2 = 7x - 6 (I just put together like terms here to simplify the equation)

then you can make it to be: x^2 - 7x + 6 = 0
and there's your new and nice equation. now just solve for "x" using the quadratic formula or any other formula that you know

hope this helps
