Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

circle A is

x²+y²+6x-4y-12=0

x²+6x +y²-4y =12

think (a+b)² = a²+2ab+b² we have a=x, b= 3

and (a-b)² = a²-2ab+b² so we have a=y, b=2

x²+6x +9 +y²-4y+4 = 12-9-4

(x+3)² +(y-2)²= -1

compare to the general equation of a circle (x-h)²+(y-k)² =r²

the center is at (-3,2) and the radius is √-1 =i

Circle B has center (0, -4) and radius 3 so the equation is

(x-0)²+(y-(-4))² =3²

x² +(y+4)² = 9

point (√8, -3) is on the circle if it verifies the equation

√8² +(-3+4)² = 9

8+1 =9 true so the point is on the circle

Circle A and circle B are not similar because they do not have the same center and radius

Likurg_2 [28]
Let
x-----------> cost of one hamburger
y-----------> cost of one <span>order of fries

we know that
4x+2y=9.74--------------> equation 1
12x+y=22.77-----------> y=22.77-12x-----------> equation 2

using a graph tool---------> calculate the equations system
see the attached figure
</span><span>
the solution is
x=1.79
y=1.29

the </span>cost of one hamburger is $1.79
the  cost of one orders of fries is $1.29

<span>If Tashiana buys 3 hamburgers and one order of fries
3*1.79+1.29---------> $6.66

the answer is $6.66</span>

Answer:

\boxed{Length \: of \: each \: side \: of \: cube = 5.2 \: mm}

Given:

Volume of cube = 140.608 cubic millimetres

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length of each side of cube = a

=  > Volume \:  of  \: cube =  {a}^{3}  \\  \\  =  > 140.608 =  {a}^{3}  \\  \\  =  >  {a}^{3}  = 140.608 \\  \\  =  >  {a}^{ \cancel{3}}  =  {5.2}^{ \cancel{3}}  \\  \\  =  > a = 5.2

Therefore length of each side of cube = 5.2 mm

What is the area of the shaded region plzz help
Aneli [31]

Answer:

78.10 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of the shaded region is the area of the rectangle subtracted from the area of the circle.

area of circle = (pi)r^2

area of rectangle = LW

shaded area = area of circle - area of rectangle

shaded area = (pi)r^2 - LW

shaded area = (pi)r^2 - LW

shaded area = (3.14159)(6 cm)^2 - (7 cm)(5 cm)

shaded area = (3.14159)(36 cm^) - 35 cm^2

shaded area = 113.097 cm^2  35 cm^2

shaded area = 78.097 cm^2

Answer: 78.10 cm^2
