(-5,-5)(9,2)

2-(-5)=7
———
9-(-5)=14
m=1/2(simplified)

y=mx+b (m=1/2)(9,2)

2=1/2(9)+b
2=4.5+b
*subtract 4.5 from both sides*

b=-2.5 or (0,-2.5)

I need help on writing fractions into simplest form
mojhsa [17]
Hi!

Is there a specific question you need help with? Writing fractions into simplest form is very easy. All you have to do is find a number that both the numerator and denominator can be divided by, and divide them both with it.

For example: 15/20. They both can be divided by 5. So do that. 15 divided by 5 = 3. 20 divided by 5 = 4. So the new fraction will be 3/4. It cannot be divided by another whole number. So that is the simplest form.

Pls let me know if you need more help.

Have a great day!

Alejandra made the number pattern shown below 4,8,16,32,64 Part AWrite a rule for the pattern.Explain how u know the rule is cor
Aleonysh [2.5K]
ANSWER

The rule for the pattern is

a_n = 4 {(2)}^{n - 1}

EXPLANATION

The terms in the pattern are:

4,8,16,32,64

The first term is

a_1 = 4

There is a constant ratio of:

r = \frac{8}{4} = 2

The rule for the pattern is given by:

a_n = a_1 {r}^{n - 1}

We substitute the values into the general rule to get,

a_n = 4 {(2)}^{n - 1}

Therefore the rule for the pattern is

a_n = 4 {(2)}^{n - 1}

Now let us check to see if our rule works by using it to find the 5th term in the pattern.

a_5= 4 {(2)}^{5 - 1}

a_5= 4 {(2)}^{4}

a_5= 4 \times 16 = 64

Great!

The 5th term is actually 64, hence our rule works.
