I want to say the answer is 100

Answer: 100

Hard to guess the units. Could be 100 meters if it's a mountainous area. Could be 100 centimeters if it's a lot flatter. Could be cubits or spans. the map gives no clues except that the horizontal dimension is metric km, so likely metric units on the vertical scale as well.

A car traveling in a straight line has a velocity of 5.0 m/s. After an acceleration of 0.75 m/s/s, the cars velocity is 8.0. In
Bogdan [553]
Vs - velocity on beginning
ve - velocity on ending. You've got:
v_s = 5 \frac{m}{s} \\ v_e=8 \frac{m}{s} \\ \hbox{Then:} \\ \Delta v=v_e - v_s = 8 \frac{m}{s} - 5\frac{m}{s}=3 \frac{m}{s} \\ a=0,75 \frac{m}{s^2} \\ \hbox{And from formula:} \\ a=\frac{\Delta v}{\Delta t} \qquad \Rightarrow \qquad  \Delta t= \frac{\Delta v}{a} \\ \hbox{Substitute:} \\ \Delta t=\frac{3\frac{m}{s}}{0,75 \frac{m}{s^2}}= \frac{3}{\frac{3}{4}} s= 3 \cdot \frac{4}{3} s= 4 s

Describe what it means if a chemical or physical property is periodic
vesna_86 [32]
It means that you consider the elements as a list organized by atomic number, the property is seen to repeat over and over as you move through that list.

Which of the following is NOT an illuminated object?
Korolek [52]

Answer:

The answer here would be light bulb.

Explanation:

An Illuminated object is simply something that reflects light. And everything in the list is illuminated except the light bulb. Humans reflect light in the same way as desks and sidewalks. If we didn't we wouldn't technically be able to see other humans unless they were luminous. This brings me to the nest point. A light bulb is a luminous object because <em>it creates light on its own. </em>

A good example would be this:

The Sun is a luminous object

The Moon is a illuminated object

I hope this helped and didn't confuse you more, I kind of went all over the place with the explanation. Either way, if you need more help feel free to let me know! :)

Problem:
kenny6666 [7]

Answer:

a) x = 1.5 *10⁻⁴cos(524πt) m

b) v = -1.5 *10⁻⁴(524π)sin(524πt) m/s

   a =  -1.5 *10⁻⁴(524π)²cos(524πt) m/s²

c) x(1) = 1.5 *10⁻⁴ m = 1.5 *10⁻1 mm

x(0.001) = -1.13*10⁻⁵ m = -1.13*10⁻² mm

Explanation:

x = Acos(ωt)

ω = 2πf = 2π(262) = 524π rad/s

x = 1.5 *10⁻⁴cos(524πt)

v = y' = -Aωsin(ωt)

v = -1.5 *10⁻⁴(524π)sin(524πt)

a = v' = -Aω²cos(ωt)

a =  -1.5 *10⁻⁴(524π)²cos(524πt)

not sure about the last part as time is generally not given in mm

I will show at 1 second and at 0.001 s to try to cover bases

x(1) = 1.5 *10⁻⁴cos(524π(1))

x(1) = 1.5 *10⁻⁴cos(524π)

x(1) = 1.5 *10⁻⁴(1)

x(1) = 1.5 *10⁻⁴ m = 1.5 *10⁻1 mm

x(0.001) = 1.5 *10⁻⁴cos(524π(0.001))

x(0.001) = 1.5 *10⁻⁴cos(0.524π)

x(0.001) = 1.5 *10⁻⁴(-0.0753268)

x(0.001) = -1.129902...*10⁻⁵ m

x(0.001) = -1.13*10⁻⁵ m = -1.13*10⁻² mm
