Can Wendell make a triangular garden using pieces D, E, and F? Why or Why not?
Part C
Can Wendell make a rectangular garden with the pieces of wood he has? If yes, which pieces can he use?
Part D

Answer:

A.  Yes.  This can form an Acute Isosceles triangle with 2 equal sides and no angles over 90 degrees and the sum of two sides is larger than the third.

B.  No.  The sum of two sides must be larger than the third.

C.  Yes.  He can use A and B, A and C or B and C.

D.  He can't create 2 rectangular gardens with the six pieces of wood.  He needs 4 pieces for the first rectangle which leaves only 2 pieces for the second rectangle.  Rectangles must have 4 sides.

He can create 2 triangular gardens.  Triangles only require 3 sides which means he can make 2 triangular gardens.

E.  If the chain is 12 feet long, it has the following area:

Area =  \pi r^{2} = 3.14 * 12^{2}  = 3.14 * 144 = 452.16 square feet

Step-by-step explanation:

This was the best I can figure out.  Answers have not been verified.

Answer:

Part A: Yes

Part B: No

Part C: Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

Part A: Yes Wendell can because it will make an acute isosceles triangle with 2 equal sides and no angles over 90 degrees and the sum of two sides will be larger than the third.

Part B: No Wendell can not because the triangle would be uneven because the measurements have too big of a difference and wouldn't be able to even line up.

Part C: Yes because Wendell can use the pieces A and B (which are 6 feet long) and C and D (which are 8 feet long).

(Sorry I am still working on parts D and E because I am working on the assignment still but  I saw no one really answered so here's this! Hope this helps!)

It is possible for two different inputs to give you the same output. For example, -2 and 2 produce the same result: 5.

it is not possible to derive two different outputs from the same input. This is because a) y=x^2+1 is a function making it impossible to have two outputs and b) for each value, if  you square it, you only get one value, then adding one, making it one certain value.
