It is possible for two different inputs to give you the same output. For example, -2 and 2 produce the same result: 5.

it is not possible to derive two different outputs from the same input. This is because a) y=x^2+1 is a function making it impossible to have two outputs and b) for each value, if  you square it, you only get one value, then adding one, making it one certain value.

In London today, four times the high temperature was more than twice the high temperature plus
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

Let's define the high temperature as T.

We know that:

"four times T, was more than 2*T plus 66°C"

(i assume that the temperature is in °C)

We can write this inequality as:

4*T > 2*T + 66°C

Now we just need to solve this for T.

subtracting 2*T in both sides, we get:

4*T - 2*T > 2*T + 66°C - 2*T

2*T > 66°C

Now we can divide both sides by 2:

2*T/2 > 66°C/2

T > 33°C

So T was larger than 33°C

Notice that T = 33°C is not a solution of the inequality, then we should use the symbol ( for the set notation.

Then the range of possible temperatures is:

(33°C, ...)

Where we do not have an upper limit, so we could write this as:

(33°C, ∞°C)

(ignoring the fact that ∞°C is something impossible because it means infinite energy, but for the given problem it works)

Dario bakes a lasagna containing $\frac 23$ pound of parmesan cheese, $1\frac 14$ pounds of ricotta cheese, and $1\frac 13$ poun
svp [43]

Answer: There are 13 slices when Dario cuts .

Explanation :

Since we have given that

Quantity of parmesan cheese is given by

\frac{2}{3}

Quantity of ricotta cheese is given by

1\frac{1}{4}

Quantity of mozzarella cheese is given by

1\frac{1}{3}

Now, total  quantity of cheese Dario have

\frac{2}{3}+\frac{5}{4}+\frac{4}{3}=2+\frac{5}{4}=\frac{8+5}{4}=\frac{13}{4}

Now,

According to question, Dario cuts the lasagna into several equal slices and each containing exactly

\frac{1}{4}\ pounds\ of\ cheese

So,

Number of slices is given by

\frac{\frac{13}{4}}{\frac{1}{4}}=13

Hence, there are 13 slices when Dario cuts .
