They challenge Copernicus because
1. People back then wet not open minded. Think of it as trying to explain to your old school grandparents that being gay is okay. They are usually closed minded because that was not how they were raised. So the people did not want to be said they were wrong and they didn't want there reputations as scholars (most of them were scholars) to be tarnished. They're logic was that they weren't open minded.

Hey! I know other people are using this website so a heads up to anyone having trouble, this idea was challenged because of 1. stuborness and pride. 2. people had not discovered gravity yet so they would try to disprove spinning Earth by shooting an arrow and saying "It's not going off into the sky, is it?" at this point in time they thought that God was the thing bonding things to the Earth so there was strong argument. Hope this helped!

Austin wants to start budgeting so he first identifies his needs and his wants. How will this help him create a solid budget?
Anna11 [10]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached we can say the following.

Austin wants to start budgeting so he first identifies his needs and his wants. This will help him create a solid budget because he is going to know what his priorities are. Knowing the things that he needs would make him allocate the proper money to get them. Then, after this is accomplished he would see if he has the money to spend on the things he wants such as entertainment and other fun things.

So Austin has to prepare a good budget so he stays out of trouble. He has to identify his income, see what kind of expenses he can afford, and determine his financial goals.

Read the story of Horus and Seth. Which sentence explains the significance of this story to ancient Egyptians?
deff fn [24]

The mythological Egyptian Story "The Contendings of Horus and Seth", tells the tale of how both deities battle to see who will replace Osiris as the king. After multiple fights and many letters between members of The Great Ennead, it is finally decided that Horus - Son of Osiris - will take the place as the new ruler.

In the paragraph "<em>Horus, son of Isis, was brought, and the White Crown was set upon his head and he was installed in the position of his father Osiris. He was told: "You are a good King of Egypt. You are the good lord, l.p.h., of every land unto all eternity.</em>" it establishes that the basis of kingship in Ancient Egypt should be as through inheritance (Father to son).

Please help me I neeeed this
marysya [2.9K]

Explanation:

A city-state, or polis, was the community structure of ancient Greece. Each city-state was organized with an urban center and the surrounding countryside. Characteristics of the city in a polis were outer walls for protection, as well as a public space that included temples and government buildings. The temples and government buildings were often built on the top of a hill, or acropolis. A surviving example of a structure central to an ancient acropolis is the famous Parthenon of Athens. The Parthenon was a temple built to honor the goddess Athena. The majority of a polis’s population lived in the city, as it was the center of trade, commerce, culture, and political activity.

There grew to be over 1,000 city-states in ancient Greece, but the main poleis were Athína (Athens), Spárti (Sparta), Kórinthos (Corinth), Thíva (Thebes), Siracusa (Syracuse), Égina (Aegina), Ródos (Rhodes), Árgos, Erétria, and Elis. Each city-state ruled itself. They differed greatly from the each other in governing philosophies and interests. For example, Sparta was ruled by two kings and a council of elders. It emphasized maintaining a strong military, while Athens valued education and art. In Athens every male citizen had the right to vote, so they were ruled by a democracy. Rather than have a strong army, Athens maintained their navy.

Greek city-states likely developed because of the physical geography of the Mediterranean region. The landscape features rocky, mountainous land and many islands. These physical barriers caused population centers to be relatively isolated from each other. The sea was often the easiest way to move from place to place. Another reason city-states formed, rather than a central, all-encompassing monarchy, was that the Greek aristocracy strove to maintain their city-states’ independence and to unseat any potential tyrants.
