Answer: y=-1/2x+11/2

Step-by-step explanation:

equation of line is y=mx+b

m=y2-y1/x2-x1

m=2-9/7-(-7)

m=-7/14

m=-1/2

y=-1/2x+b

You can use either (x,y) point you want, the answer will be the same

(-7,9)

y=mx+b or 9=-1/2 × -7+b, or solving for b: b=9-(-1/2)(-7). b=11/2.

(7,2)

y=mx+b or 2=-1/2 × 7+b, or solving for b: b=2-(-1/2)(7). b=11/2.

so then you just put it all together

y=-1/2x+11/2

Y-1=5/6(x-4) in standard form

           y - 1 = ⁵/₆(x - 4)
           y - 1 = ⁵/₆(x) - ⁵/₆(4)
           y - 1 = ⁵/₆x - 3¹/₃
             + 1         + 1
                 y = ⁵/₆x - 2¹/₃
        ⁻⁵/₆x + y = ⁵/₆x - ⁵/₆x - 2¹/₃
   -6(⁻⁵/₆x + y) = -6(-2¹/₃)
-6(⁻⁵/₆x) - 6(y) = 14
         5x - 6y = 14

Solving Rational Equations. LCD Method. Show work.<br><br><img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%5Cfrac%7B2%7D%7B5x%7D%20%2B%5Cfrac%

using the LCD method.... well, there are a couple of ways, but let's simply add them up.

well, the denominators are 5x and 2x... so the only LCD will just be 10x, since it's divisible by both, so let's use that one.

\bf \cfrac{2}{5x}+\cfrac{7}{2x}=1\implies \stackrel{\textit{LCD of 10x}}{\cfrac{(2)2~~+~~(5)7}{10x}}=1\implies \cfrac{4+35}{10x}=1\implies \cfrac{39}{10x}=1 \\\\\\ 39=10x\implies \cfrac{39}{10}=x\implies 3\frac{9}{10}=x
