If the half-life is t, then every t days, the amount of the radioactive isotope will be cut in half.
(1/2)^(number of half-lives) = 3%
number of half-lives = ln(0.03) / ln(0.5)
This gives the number of half-lives as 5.06.
Then 300 days = (5.06)(length of 1 half-life)
length of 1 half-life = 300 / 5.06 = 59.29 days

The length of a rectangle is 2 ft longer than its width.
notsponge [240]
If the length is 2ft longer than it’s width
Let’s assume width as X and so the length will be X+2
Perimeter=40ft
Putting the values into a equation, we get,
X+2+X=40
=2X+2=40
=2X=38
=X=19
Therefore
Length =X+2=19+2
=21ft
Width=X=19ft
Area of rectangle =lxb
= 21x19
3992ft

at the middle school graduation dance, the dj played 12 slow dances, which was equal to the quotient of the number of fast dance
Zolol [24]
Quotient means that division was used so you do the opposite of division which is multiplication... so you do 12×2 and get 24 ...so 24 fast songs were played

I need to know The value of f(1/2)
Lostsunrise [7]

\huge\boxed{\textsf{a.)}\ 10}

Substitute \frac{1}{2} for x.

f\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)=5\cdot4^\frac{1}{2}

Use a^\frac{m}{n}=\sqrt[n]{a^m}.

\begin{aligned}f\left(\frac{1}{2}\right)&=5\cdot\sqrt[2]{4^1}\\&=5\cdot\sqrt[2]{4}\\&=5\cdot2\\&=\boxed{10}\end{aligned}
