How to find the zeros of a polynomial function degree 5?

Mathematics

Begin by trying to see which values would allow the function to become zero.

Try x=1, x=-1, x=0 and see if this works.

Let's say that x=1 gives f(x)=0 <-- the given function with degree of 5

You can say;

ax⁵+bx⁴+cx³+dx²+ex+f=(x-1)(Ax⁴+Bx³+Cx²+Dx-f) <-- rewrite variables with 1 less degree. Solve by expanding.

If, you find that numbers such as x=1, x=-1, x=0 or any others don't work out, it might be best to find a set of zeros from a calculator and basing your calculations on that.

Hope I helped :)

Answer:

0 zero

Step-by-step explanation:

you must find gf(x) first

g[ f(x) ] = g [ 2 + 1 ]

= 3-2+x which is you sub fx tu g

g [ f (-1) ] = 3-2-1

First to answer gets brainiest
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

V = 67 1/2 cm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume is given by

V = l*w*h

V = 4 1/2 * 6 * 2 1/2

Changing to improper fractions

V = 9/2 *6*5/2

V =270/4

V = 135/2

Changing to a mixed number

V = 67 1/2 cm^3

Suppose an initial investment of $100 will return $50/year for 3 years (assume the $50 is received each year at the end of the y
nydimaria [60]

With a positive NPV, it shows that the investment is profitable.

It is a profitable investment with a positive NPV at a discount rate of 20%.

Data and Calculations

Initial investment = $100

Annual cash inflows = $50

Period of investment = 3 years

Discount rate = 20%

<h3>What is the present value?</h3>

Present value (PV) is the current value of a future sum of money or stream of cash flows given a specified rate of return.

Present Value (PV) annuity factor for 3 years at 20% = 2.106

Present value of annual cash inflows = $105.3 ($50 x 2.106)

Net Present Value (NPV) = $5.3 ($105.3 - $100)

Thus, with a positive NPV, it shows that the investment is profitable.
