Answer:

1140 liters.

Step-by-step explanation:

We need 40% to top it up.

60 % = 1710

1% = 1710 / 60

40% = (1710/60) * 40

= 1140 liters.

I got 8/10 or 80% because if you add up all sandwichs together, you get 50, then you add up ham and tuna sandwichs and get 40 so 40/50 would be 80/100 to make it a percent or fraction.. hopefully this makes sense and i helped:) i wish i could just send the work to you so it could make more sense lol

Identify this coefficient 8x
galben [10]

Answer:

  8

Step-by-step explanation:

The term 8x is a product (as is any term). It is the product of a constant coefficient (8) and a variable (x). The "coefficient" is the multiplier of the variable of interest, so is 8 in this term.

_____

The word "coefficient" is often used to refer to the constant multiplier in any term. For example, in the term 6xy, if we just ask for the coefficient, we are interested in the value 6.

On the other hand, if we ask for the coefficient of y in that term, we expect to be told it is 6x. That is, the "coefficient" is the multiplier of the specified variable or constellation of variables.

Darius is a graphic designer he makes a sign for a company that has a width of 2 feet and a length of 2 feet 6 inches the compan
Sav [38]

Answer:

\frac{1}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Width of the sign made by Darius initially = 2 feet

Length of the sign = 2 feet 6 inches

Dimension of the flyer are 10 inches by 8 inches. Since, in original sign the measure of length is greater, therefore, the length of flyer is 10 inches and its width is 8 inches.

In order to find the scale factor we must convert the lengths and widths to same units. Lets convert the length and width of sign into inches.

Since, 1 feet = 12 inches

Length of the sign = 2 feet 6 inches = 2(12) + 6 inches = 30 inches

Width of the sign = 2 feet = 2(12) inches = 24 inches

Now we can find the scale factor by either comparing the lengths or widths of both the designs. Scale factor will be equal to the ratio of corresponding lengths/widths.

So, the scale factor would be:

Length of Flyer : Length of Sign

= 10 inches : 30 inches

= 1 : 3

= \frac{1}{3}

This shows, the length of flyer is \frac{1}{3} times as that of the sign. So, the scale factor that Darius must use is \frac{1}{3}. The length and width of the flyer are \frac{1}{3} as that of the sign.

The same scale factor would result if we would have used the ratio of widths instead of the lengths.

Scale Factor = Width of Flyer : Width of sign

= 8 : 24

= 1 : 3

Therefore, Darius must type the scale factor of \frac{1}{3} in his computer to get the size of the flyer.

What does each line on the protractor stand for?
romanna [79]

Answer:

There are two sets of degrees going in opposite directions along an arc. The top of the arc shows degrees from 0º to 180º from left to right. The bottom of the arc shows degrees from 180º to 0º from left to right. The smallest "tick marks" along the edge of the protractor represent 1º intervals.
