Beef to pork.....ratio 3:1....added = 4.....this is basically saying that 3/4 of the total meat is beef and 1/4 of the total meat is pork...and the total meat is 3 lbs.

3/4(3) = 9/4 = 2 1/4 lbs of beef
1/4(3) = 3/4 lbs of pork <===
