You share half of your genetic makeup with each of your parents, but you are no doubt very different from both of them. spend a

I have black hair just like my father and blue eyes like my mother. The shape of my nose also resembles the shape of my father’s nose yet I am taller than both of them, I have less body fat index and more hair!

I think the environmental factors are responsible from much of the differences between me and my parents, after all I grew up, in a sense, in a different world. The level of pollutants in the air, the hormones in the food, ,better medical care and even the availability of information regarding health care choices, they are all factors that change from generation to generation and change they way we are and a very real way. It is true that we are the product of our genes but the environment plays a determinant role in our development as well.

Reika [66]

Answer:

The correct answer is A. real-time PCR can measure the amount of DNA amplified as the reaction proceeds, while standard PCR cannot.

Explanation:

PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) is a molecular biology technique. Conventional PCR and real-time PCR are diferent types of PCR, and are both used to exponentially amplify DNA molecules. In both types, a polimerase enzyme is employed to sinthesize DNA copies. The main difference is that conventional PCR is qualitative whereas real-time PCR is quantitative. So, real-time PCR permits not only to detect and amplify DNA but also permits to perform a quantification of the target DNA. This is accomplished by measuring a fluorescence signal - which is directly the amount of DNA amplified- during the course of the reaction.

Biome1: ________Tropical Savannah____________
IceJOKER [234]
EcosystemTropical Savanna is found between sections of tropical rain forest and deserts. They have 2 seasons; wet (constant humidity) and dry (long periods of dry spells and drought that may cause fires).

Both savanna buffalo and forest buffalo live close to water. The buffalo are found throughout the northern and southern savanna as well as the lowland rain forest.
How might this population suddenly increase? How might this affect the ecosystem? If there was an increase in population; grasslands during the wet season will be gone, more predators will flock for an abundance of buffalo.

What might happen to the ecosystem if this population was removed? If you remove the buffalo from the savanna ecosystem, it can cause a ripple effect such as populations of small mammal (mouse) will double, which will attract more snakes (venomous), it can cause the flea and tick population to increase, and the increase in tick/fleas can cause the risk of transmission of flea/tick borne pathogens.

A blizzard can form when certain physical factors combine with the presence of moisture in the atmosphere. Which two factors com
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer:

A blizzard can form when warm air combines with a high pressure system.

Explanation:

A high pressure zone is defined by cold air mass that has higher density than surrounding air mass. Therefore when a warm air current blows towards the high pressure system, the warm air mass rises over the cold air mass of the high pressure system.

The warm air begins to cool at the front between the cold air mass and warm air mass. Usually for a blizzard to occur the cold air mass is usually below freezing point temperatures. Therefore the moisture in the warm air cools and freezes into snowflakes. This is why the winds of a blizzard are accompanied by snowflakes akin to a winter storm.

How can the human eye see color??
seraphim [82]
Light receptors within the eye transmit messages to the brain, which produces the familiar sensations of color. Newton observed that color is not inherent in objects. Rather, the surface of an object reflects some colors and absorbs all the others. We perceiveonly the reflected colors.
