On March 6, 1836, after 13 days of intermittent fighting, the Battle of the Alamo comes to a gruesome end, capping off a pivotal moment in the Texas Revolution. Mexican forces were victorious in recapturing the fort, and nearly all of the roughly 200 Texan defenders—including legendary frontiersman Davy Crockett—died.

Match these civilizations to their contributions to history.
Lostsunrise [7]

Here are my thoughts and responses as to what I come to know for these civilizations' achievements. I even checked my World History notes from last year...

1. Egyptians
2. Sumerians
3. Phoenicians
4. -This is debatable... We could argue early caveman or Sumerians made it, depends on what resource, textbook, or class material you are deriving this from. Maybe Hebrew because they developed Monotheism, belief in one deity.
5. Hittites
6. This is very difficult to elaborate on. Many civilizations had very strikingly similar achievements and reviewing my notes, I can't find anything to give an absolute civilization responsible for this. You'll have to guess.
7. Babylonian?

Sorry I couldn't help with #4, 6, and 7 that well. It's very difficult to answer.

PLEASE HELP!!
Pepsi [2]
Miranda v. Arizona has a very significant impact today. This case ruled that any arrested person must be read his/her Miranda Rights (You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. Etc.). This is due to the fact that many people self-incriminated themselves because they were unaware of their rights. This lead to innocent people being accused of crimes.

Hope this helps!

A reader familiar with America's own history of colonization and settling can make a connection to:
balu736 [363]
It would be Statement B

Statement B is the only statement that pertains to the colonization of America.

Religious oppression led English (and other countries') settlers to leave their homelands and seek to establish a new country, where they could practice their chosen religion in peace.
