This idea comes from the fact that Japan, South Korea, and China are developed countries with a strong technological industry. Yet, not everyone that comes from Asia is into these topics – some Asians are not even from these specific countries, some were born in different countries, some have been born in the US, etc. The fact where someone is from doesn’t have anything to do with their intelligence, interests, and skills. Asian people are not just nerdy, socially awkward people who care only about science.
