Answer:

K(-4,8) is the ortho center.

Step-by-step explanation:

In a right angled triangle, The vertex of the right angle is the ortho center.

Here we are given

J(-4,-1), K(-4,8) & L(2,8)

Using distance formula we get

JK^{2}= (-4+4)^{2}+ (8+1)^{2}=0+81=81

KL^{2}= (-4-2)^{2}+ (8+-8)^{2}=36+0=36

JL^{2}= (-4-2)^{2}+ (8+1)^{2}=36+81=117

So we can say that

JK^2 + KL^2=JL^2

By converse of pythagorean theorem we get

Hence the Vertex of the right angle is K(-4,8)

K(-4,8) is the ortho center.

In a condominium complex, 2/3 of the women are married to 3/4 of the women. What part of the entire population is married? Pleas
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

(QUESTION CORRECTNESS : 2/3 OF MEN ARE MARRIED TO 3/4 OF WOMEN)

Part of Entire Population married = 12/17 = 70.58%

Step-by-step explanation:

Fraction of men married:

\frac{2}{3}=\frac{4}{6}=\frac{6}{9}=\frac{8}{12}..........

Fraction of women married:

\frac{3}{4}=\frac{6}{8}=\frac{9}{12}=\frac{12}{16} .........

To solve the problem, we know that number of husbands should be equal to number of wives.

Number of husbands and wives are represented by the numerators of both fractions.

We have to find such a multiple of each fraction such that there numerator are same.

Let fraction of men married:  \frac{6}{9}

Let fraction of women married:  \frac{6}{8}

Add the numerators and denominator to find the solution:

\frac{6+6}{9+8}= \frac{12}{17}
