This isn't something I do myself but doing this can positively affect your health one way is that it physically affects your health. Of course it does, your out there running around and helping your team win. Another is mentally your doing something you love and taking a brake from everything else and are focusing on something else getting away from the stress. Then the last one is  socially you make more friends while playing whether or not they are on your team you make good friends while doing something you love.
