Coming from a 6th grader but I hope this is right!
Polynomials of degree greater than 2 can have more than one max or min value. The largest possible number of minimum or maximum points is one less than the degree of the polynomial. The following examples illustrate several possibilities.
since the degree is 4
number of possible extreme values = 4 -1 = 3
X 6
i’m pretty sure this is right
Step 1: -4(3x-1) becomes -12x+4
step 2: -12x+4=12-8x
step 3: add 12x to both sides, 4=12+4x
step 4: subtract twelve from both sides -8=4x
step 5: divide by 4, x=-2
Reflect across the y axis and moved through the translation x = 2
