When buying lettuce the color in the store is a little washed out, however, when it’s from locally produced the color is bright green. Texture I would say also varies, from your local grocery store it’s crunchy and juicy and a little more crunchy and a lot more juicy when locally produced. When it comes to price, Organic food markets often get a bad rep for being overly expensive, however, i think it’s all about how one is paying a premium as foods aren’t sitting in trucks for long, letting them last longer when bought. Paying more isn’t always the case, one may be able to get a loose head of organic lettuce for less money than conventional lettuce packaged in a bag or tub.
