Answer: 1.2%

Explanation:

Given

If one borrows $12,250

and give $147 interest on it

Then the interest is given from the formula

\Rightarrow S.I=\dfrac{P\times R\times T}{100}\\\\\Rightarrow 147=\dfrac{12,250\times R\times 1}{100}\\\\\Rightarrow R=\dfrac{147}{122.50}\\\\\Rightarrow R=1.2\%

Thus, the annual rate of interest  is 1.2%

Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

The work done on the athlete is approximately 2.09 J

Explanation:

From the definition of the work done by a variable force:

\displaystyle{\int_{x_i}^{x_j}F(x)dx}

and substituting with the function of our problem:

\displaystyle{\int_{0}^{0.19}(140x-190x^2)dx\approx2.09\mathrm{J}}

What average energy of particles does temperature measures?
sertanlavr [38]

Answer:

Well, temperature is simply an average measure of the kinetic energy for particles of matter. Another way of putting it would be that temperature simply describes the average vibration of particles. Because the motion of all particles is random, they don’t all move at the same speed and in the same direction.

iren [92.7K]
The first experiment that was made to attempt to measure the speed of light involved detonating gunpowder by Isaac Beeckman. He declared that his experiment was inconclusive. Galileo also tried to measure the speed of light using two lanterns placed across each other. The next experiment involved planets where Ole Romer based his calculation on its movements. The final calculations were derived from different theories by different scientists including Maxwell until it ended up with the exact value for the speed of light.

Read the excerpt from Neil deGrasse Tyson’s “Death by Black Hole.” Black holes are regions of space where the gravity is so high
kramer
<h2>Answer: a definition of the term black hole</h2>

This text is clearly a definition of the term black hole, made by the American astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.

However, the discussions about this subject are not new, since Einstein's theory of relativity already defined what a black hole is.

In this sense, a black hole is described as a "singularity" that consists of <u>a region of the space in which the density of matter tends to infinity.</u>

Although this is hard to find possible for classical physics; following what relativity establishes:<em> bodies within a gravitational field follow a curved space path. Then the more a body enters the black hole, the more curved the space will become, until, in the center, it will become infinitely curved. </em>

Answer:

In physics and chemistry, the law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant; it is said to be conserved over time. ... For instance, chemical energy is converted to kinetic energy when a stick of dynamite explodes.
