You have a total of 1/4 gallons of juice, but when you pour 3/5 of it out, you have how much left?

3/5 - 1/4 = 7/20

Felicia filled the bathroom sink with water is the amour more than 1 liter about 1 liter or less than 1 liter
Maurinko [17]
There are a lot of different sinks. Different sizes and different shapes, but what is almost certainly true is that they all have volume bigger than 1 liter. To gain some perspective on the issue try imaging a cube with each edge being 10cm long (approximately 4 inches). Imagine how many of this you could put into a bathroom sink.
So your answer should be more that one liter.

The equation 2(m-8)+3=17 has more than one solution method. Give at least two different "first steps" to solve this equation.
Troyanec [42]
1. you could distribute the 2 which would give you 2m - 16 + 3 = 17
2. You could add the 2 and 3 together and the problem would be 5(m - 8) = 17

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

32

Step 1 : Draw PQ = 6cm

Step 2 : Construct 60 degree at Q. [Given PQR = 60=> Q = 60 ]

Step 3 : Take 5 cm on compass and mark 5cm on the 60 degree

            line constructed at Q.

Step 4 : The arc of 5cm and 60 degree line meets is the point R.

             [Given QR = 5cm ]

Step 5 : Given PQ || SR so construct a 120° at R ,

             because ∠PQR and ∠QRS are supplementary angle.

            [ ∠PQR + ∠QRS = 60 + 120 = 180° ]

Step 6 : At P , take 6.5 cm on compass and mark on the line drawn in

             Step 5, to get S. [ Given PS = 6.5 ]

33

Given adjacent sides : 4.8 and 4.2

And it is a rectangle.

Step 1 : construct AB = 4.8 cm

Step 2 :At A and B construct 90 degree

Step 3: On the compass take 4.2cm and mark on the 90degree lines

          from A and B.

Step 4 : Mark that as C and D respectively.

Step 5 : Join CD
