PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY PROBLEM!!! 50 POINTS!!!
Molodets [167]

Well he started off right by solving for y=y to find the abscissa of the intersection points between the two points,but then he assumed that their ordinate (y coordinates) are both zero,which is incorrect obviously. To find their ordinate,all we have to do is plug the x values into any of the two equations, since they both will pass through that point ੴ

y = 4 x+ 1 \\ y = 4(3) + 1  \\ y = 12 + 1 \\ y = 13

y = 4x + 1 \\ y = 4( - 2) + 1 \\ y =  - 8 + 1 \\ y =  - 7

I chose to plug the values in the second linear equation, since it's easier to compute

<h2>Points:</h2>

<h2>( 3 , 13 ) ( -2 , -7 )</h2>

Peter is making green paint by mixing blue and yellow paint in a cuboid container, shown below. The container has width of 30cm
dusya [7]

Answer: height = 17.5cm

Step-by-step explanation: Peter mixes blue and yellow paint in the ratio 2:3, which means:

\frac{2}{3} = \frac{8.4}{x}

x = \frac{8.4*3}{2}

x = 12.6L

The container is full with the two paints, so total volume:

V = 12.6 + 8.4

V = 21L

Knowing that 1L = 1dm³ and sides of cuboid is measure in cm:

V = 21dm³ = 21000cm³

Volume of a cuboid is calculated as:

V = width*length*height

Height of the container is

height = \frac{V}{width*length}

height = \frac{21000}{30*40}

height = 17.5cm

The height of the container is 17.5cm.

At the rate of 15 per 6 oz. bar of chocolate, how much would a pound
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

40

Step-by-step explanation:

We know there are 16 oz in a pound

We can use ratios

15             x

-----  = ----------

6 oz       16 oz

Using cross products

15 * 16 = 6x

240 = 6x

divide by 6

240/6 = 6x/6

40 =x
