Answer: Hello!

Ben needs 2.5 lb of strawberries and 1.5 lb of blueberries.

If S is the price per pound of strawberries and B is the price per pound of blueberries, we know that:

B - S = $1

2.5*S + 1.5*B = $9.50

In the first equation we can isolate B as B = $1 + S, and now can replace it in the second equation:

2.5*S + 1.5*B = $9.50

2.5*S + 1.5*($1 + S) =$9.50

2.5*S + 1.5*s + $1.50 = $9.50

4*S = $9.50 - $1.50 = $8

S = $8/4 = $2

now we can replace it in the first equation and get:

B - $2 = $1

B = $3

then the price per pound of strawberrys is $2 and for blueberrys is $3.

How do you solve: 81 X 9^(-2b-2)=27
Dominik [7]

Did you mean

81* 9∧(-2b-2)=27 => First divide whole equation with 81 and get

(3∧2)∧(-2b-2)=1/3 => 3∧(-4b-4)=3∧(-1) => -4b-4=-1 => -4b= -1+4 => -4b=3 =>

we will multiply whole equation with (-1) and get 4b=-3 => b=-(3/4)

If the start item is correct.

Good luck!!!

If a line has a slope of 4/7 a line that is perpendicular has a slope of what?
sukhopar [10]

Answer:

y = -7/4x

Step-by-step explanation:

This is correct because to find the perpendicular, you need to find the opposite reciprocal of the slope. In this case, the slope is 4/7, so the opposite reciprocal is -7/4.
