Answer:

Equation of line that passes through the points is; y= -13x - 31

Step-by-step explanation:

Given coordinates;

(- 2, - 5) and (3. - 8)

Find:

Equation of the line

Computation:

Equation of line that passes through the points is;

y = mx + c

So,

in (- 2, - 5)

-5 = m(-2) + c

-5 = -2m + c ...................Eq1

in (3, - 8)

- 8 = m(3) + c

-8 = 3m + c .....................Eq2

From eq2 + eq1

m = -13

-5 = -2m + c

-5 = -2(-13) + c

-5 = 26 + c

c = -31

So,

y = mx + c

y = (-13)x + (-31)

Equation of line that passes through the points is; y= -13x - 31

A quadrilateral has angles measuring 105°,80°and 45°.What is the measure of the fouth angle?
valentina_108 [34]

The measurement of fourth angle is: 130°

Further explanation:

Let A, B, C and D be the four angles.

m∠A=105°

m∠B=80°

m∠C=45°

We know that the sum of interior angles of a quadrilateral is 360°

So,

m∠A+m∠B+m∠C+m∠D=360°

105°+80°+45°+m∠D=360°

230°+m∠D=360°

m∠D=360°-230°

m∠D=130°

The measurement of fourth angle is: 130°

(3x^2a - 4y^a z^3a) ^2 ...?
shusha [124]
The answer is 9x⁴ᵃ - 24x²ᵃyᵃz³ᵃ + 16 y²ᵃz⁶ᵃ

(a - b)² = a² - 2ab + b²
(3x²ᵃ - 4yᵃz³ᵃ)² = (3x²ᵃ)² - 2 * 3x²ᵃ * 4yᵃz³ᵃ + (4yᵃz³ᵃ)² =
                         = 3²x²ᵃ*² - 2 * 3 * 4 x²ᵃ * yᵃz³ᵃ + 4²yᵃ*²z³ᵃ*² =

Write an equation of a line parallel to the line
Airida [17]

Answer: y = -2x - 5

Step-by-step explanation:

The condition for parallelism is that m1 = m2 ie, the gradient of the two lines must be equal.

from the equation given,

y =  -2x  + 8, m1 = -2, therefore m2 = -2. Since the two line passes through the coordinate of (-1, -3 ) , we substitute  for x and y in the equation of a line

y = mx + c to get the value of  , the y - intersect.

-3 = -2 x -1 + c

-3 = 2 + c

solve for c

c = -3 - 2

c = -5.

now , to have the equation of the line , we put c = -7 into the equation

y = mx + c

y = -2x  - 5

Therefore the equation of the line parallel to the line

y = -2x + 8 is

y = -2x - 7
